I’m Tony Tenorio, owner of Square Foot Roofing. I’ve spent more than 30 years in the roofing industry, and over that time I’ve learned that each roof needs to be evaluated according to its own age, condition, and construction.
The shingles are only one part of a roofing system. Decking, flashing, valleys, ventilation, roof penetrations, underlayment, and other components can all influence the way a roof replacement should be handled.
I want homeowners to know what their roof needs before the project starts. If an issue becomes apparent once the existing roofing is removed, I explain what was uncovered and what should be addressed rather than simply installing new materials over a problem.
